1,3-Propanediol

For colorless, odorless, salty, hygroscopic viscous liquid, oxidation, esterification reaction, miscible with water, miscible in ethanol, ether. It can be used in the synthesis of various drugs, novel polyester PTT, pharmaceutical intermediates and novel antioxidants. It is a raw material for producing unsaturated polyester, plasticizer, surfactant, emulsifier and demulsifier.
1,3-Propanediol is mainly used as a solvent in cosmetics. It is an organic polyol moisturizing solvent that helps cosmetic ingredients penetrate into the skin. Moisture retention is higher than glycerol, 1,2 propanediol and 1,3 butanediol. No stickiness, no burning sensation, no sensitive irritation problems. It also acts as a viscosity control agent.
